Find out moreA high-density polyethylene (HDPE) net drainage core made for a good flow even under high loading, the 1BZ Drain Geocomposite includes a non-woven polypropylene geotextile filter/separator bonded to one side and an extruded (PE/EVA) geomembrane bonded to the other.
Net drainage geocomposites are made using Terram T1000LE for an exclusive geotextile filter designed with high tensile modulus and the ability to stop soil from getting into the drainage core's void space.
Drainage geocomposites are suitable for various applications, including highways, retaining walls and bridge abutments, engineered landfills, tunnels and buried structures.
In highway constructions, vertical edge-of-carriageway drains interrupt lateral groundwater flow, while modern fin drains minimise excavation and limit backfill quantities for fast installations. In-slope drainage adds an extra layer of geotechnical stability. When it comes to retaining walls and bridge abutments, they mitigate pore water pressure and prevent backfill saturation. They can be used in engineered landfills with extra requirements of long-term chemical resistance and high compressive strength while in tunnels, they make a barrier against groundwater seepage between the rock face and tunnel lining, ensuring structural integrity. Additionally, for buried structures, they offer vertical and horizontal drainage for basements, culverts, car parks, reservoirs and more.
