Brick effect tiles are designed to replicate the authentic look of real brick and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Textured brick effect tiles can create rustic exposed brick feature walls in bathrooms and kitchens, bringing the outdoors in whilst maintaining a cosy feel. Brick effect tiles are often made from porcelain, which is made into a slurry, placed into moulds and fired in a kiln to dry it. It is then glazed and textured to resemble real brick tiles. Porcelain is ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, due to its low water absorption rate so works perfectly in spaces more prone to damp and decreases the growth of mould. Brick tiles made from porcelain are also easier to maintain and clean than natural brick and are often less costly.
